Preparation & Coaching

Clarity, Support, and Transparent Pricing
At LAWra Family Law, our preparation and individual coaching services in Ontario are grounded in the belief that informed clients make empowered decisions—and our role is to give you the clarity, education, and support you need to move forward with confidence.
Every matter begins with an initial consultation so we can understand the details of your situation, confirm what level of support will benefit you most, and ensure you choose the option that aligns with your goals. Our initial consultation is $400 + HST, and all service fees listed below are in addition to this cost. You only pay for the services you decide to proceed with after your initial consultation, and there are no surprise costs.
1. One-on-one coaching (half day)
A focused, time-efficient coaching block designed to give you clarity and confidence on the issues that matter most. This session helps you understand the legal process, organize your materials, and identify practical next steps. Ideal for clients who want structured and empowering support without a long-term commitment.
$1,200 + HST
2. One-on-one coaching (full day)
This session offers extended guidance over a full day session. This option is designed to help you develop strategy, prepare documents, and build skills at a steady, supported pace. It provides the time and space needed to work through more detailed questions, planning, and preparation.
$2,400 + HST
3. Three one-hour coaching sessions
A flexible series of shorter sessions that gives you three separate, one-hour coaching appointments to ask questions, clarify next steps, and work through your matter at a steady pace. This option is particularly helpful when your matter is evolving and new issues or questions may arise over time.
$1,100 + HST
4. Case conference coaching
A focused, one hour coaching session designed to prepare you for one of the earliest and most important stages in the family law process. A case conference is your first opportunity to speak with a judge about your matter. Its purpose is to identify issues, address disclosure concerns, clarify next steps, and explore any opportunities for early resolution.
In this session, we help you understand the role of the judge, what they can and cannot do at this stage, and how to present your issues clearly and productively. We review how to organize your materials, frame your concerns, and communicate in a way that keeps the discussion constructive and focused on solutions.
While not every case can be resolved at a case conference, effective preparation often leads to meaningful progress and can significantly reduce future conflict and cost.

5. Guidance on presenting your case
A focused, one hour session designed to help you understand how to present already prepared information clearly, persuasively, and in a way that aligns with family law processes and court expectations.
We will cover how to structure your points, organize evidence effectively, and use language that supports clarity and credibility. You will also receive practical guidance on introducing information in accordance with the rules, so you feel prepared, grounded, and confident when it’s your turn to speak.
$400 + HST
6. Mediation Preparation
Mediation is a voluntary, confidential process where a neutral mediator helps both parties discuss issues, explore options, and work toward mutually acceptable resolutions without going to court.
LAWra can provide support to help you prepare for mediation with a clear perspective, organized materials, and an understanding of what to expect from the process. This two hour session helps you learn how mediation works, what your role will be, and how to communicate your priorities in a constructive and productive way.
$800 + HST
7. Settlement Coaching
A settlement conference is a later-stage appearance that focuses more directly on negotiation and resolution. The judge may offer non-binding feedback on the strengths and weaknesses of each party’s positions to help guide discussions toward agreement.
This two hour session prepares you to approach the settlement conference with clarity, confidence, and an organized strategy. We cover how to present your proposals, how to evaluate and respond to the other party’s offers, and how to use the judge’s guidance effectively. You will also learn techniques for staying solution-oriented and making the most of this important resolution opportunity.
Settlement—when possible—is almost always the best outcome. It allows you to reduce stress, save time and cost, and maintain greater control over the decisions that affect your family law matter. Our coaching is designed to support you in making meaningful progress toward a fair, workable agreement.
